George Washington University's Investment Office manages the university's Pooled Endowment, which represents the majority of GW's Endowment, under the guidance and oversight of the GW Board of Trustees, Committee on Investments.

The investment office is currently in transition. The university will be seeking proposals from investment firms to manage the university endowment. After the transition, the Investment Office will report to the deputy executive vice president and treasurer, and will manage the relationship with an external firm and continue to provide endowment audit management.

As of June 30, 2013, the market value of the Pooled Endowment was $821.4 million.  GW's total Endowment assets were $1.375 billion.
